Awards
What are Awards?
- Awards are a way for your business to show off. They mark what you have accomplished or acquired.
- You can view any awards you have earned by clicking the My Awards button on your office menu.
- The last 5 awards received are also visible at your company Headquarters, where the public can view them.
- Every award has a "point" value. These add up to show your Prestige, which is visible in the top status box on every page. Publicly, your Prestige helps you with several rankings in the Ranks & Stats section.
- There are 5 types of awards, with the following differences:
- Some are earned, others are purchased.
- Some can be bought our sold on Auction. Others must be earned.
- Most can be earned at any time, but some only when your company is a certain size, and others only during special events.
- Some can be owned in multiples, others are one-per-player.
- The specifics of any award depend on what type it is.
Achievement Awards
- Achievement Awards are used to mark certain events in your company's life.
Sample Achievement Awards:
- The Manufacturer award is given to a company when they build their first factory. It is worth 1 point.
- A Chamber of Commerce award is received from each city when you first start building there. It's worth 1 point.
- The Supporter of Society award is given to a company that has given to 5 different charities. It is worth 10 points. (More on charities below.)
- An Achievement Award can only be earned once.
- Because you can only get them once, Achievement Awards cannot be sold to other companies.
Dominance Awards
- Dominance awards are given for having the most market share in a product, category, or city, and holding on to first place for a period of days with no long breaks. These are among the most difficult in the game to earn, and are one of the best measures of what a company has accomplished.
Sample Dominance Awards:
- The Guru of the City award is given to a company for holding the biggest market share in one city for 7 days. It is worth 100 points.
- A Motorcycle Authority award earned by being the biggest Motorcycle retailer in a city for 4 weeks. It is worth 20 points..
- The Jewelry Expert award is received after having the largest market share in the Jewelry category in one city every day for 12 weeks. It is worth 100 points.
- The Sporting Goods Advocate award is given to a company whose brand has held the biggest market share in a city for 7 days. It is worth 10 points.
- The Electronics Crafter award is earned for being the largest producer in the Electronics category for half a year. It is worth 400 points.
- The top Dominance Award in the game at this time is the Triple Champion award. For the momentous (impossible?) task of dominating three cities every day for a whole year, this award is worth a total of 10,000 points.
- Dominance awards exist for any product or category, as well as the whole market. There are additional awards for dominating two or three cities a the same time. Tiers for earning an award are 1 week, 4 weeks, three months, 6 months, and 1 year.
- Dominance awards can only be earned once, and cannot be sold.
- When attempting to earn a Dominance award, your dominance doesn't need to be purely consecutive. However, if you lose the #1 spot for more than 21 days, your total will be reset and you will have to start over. For details on how you are dominating, locate the My Dominance page from your Office.
Generosity Awards
Generosity Awards are unlocked at the Dealer Level (Score = 3200)
- Generosity Awards are given for donating to charity. There is a separate charity for each city and each player Level. Each charity grants a different award, in thanks for making a sizable donation (the necessary donation size is based on your Level at the time).
Sample Generosity Awards:
- The Abalesk Chef award is given for making a donation to the Abalesk Soup Kitchen. This can only be done in Abalesk and only when you are at the Dealer level. The donation required is approximately β5,000,000 (adjusted for the local economy).
- The Bellerive Entertainer award is given for making a donation to the Bellerive Toy Drive. This can only be done in Bellerive and only when you are at the Entrepreneur level. The donation required is approximately β70,000,000 (adjusted for the local economy).
- Generosity Awards can be earned as many times as you want, but you will only earn Prestige for the first 5 of any type owned. Remember that you can only earn the award while you are the correct level..
- Generosity Awards can be sold via Auction (possibly for more than what you donated!).
- Special Achievement awards (see above) can be earned for donating to 5, 10, 15, 20, or more different charities.
Event Awards
- Event Awards are only available for a limited time, during and as a result of special events.
- Depending on the event, there may be one award for all participants, or tiers, or rankings. Details are available when the event is announced.
- Every event's awards are different. Once an event has ended, that award will not be available again (exceptions may be possible for certain events).
- Event awards can be Auctioned to other players.
Style Awards
- Style awards are your company's way of showing off. They are purchased from the system with tickets.
Sample Style Awards:
- The Company Car - Stretch Limo is worth 5 points.
- A Fountain is worth 4 points.
- Style Awards can be acquired in multiples, and can be Auctioned to other players.
- Some Style Awards may come with special bonuses, but most are purely there for, well, style.
- Some Style Awards may only be available for a limited time. Once they stop being offered, the only way to get them will be to buy them from other players.
